Your host – Luc “the Canadian Cruiser” Morin
Welcome to my hosted cruise!
I’ll be your host pre-cruise and throughout our sailing, helping you navigate every step of the way. Come join the fun — I’ll be organizing a Meet & Greet, onboard activities, games, and of course, our group photo in matching VFC shirts. I’ll be available to answer questions, share tips, and make sure you have a great time both on land and at sea.
From Rome’s ancient marvels to Tuscany’s masterpieces, Riviera chic, and Balearic beaches, this route packs big-name icons with coastal gems—plus a rare two-day stay for Florence & Pisa. Expect late sunsets, café time on pretty harbors, and just the right pace between blockbuster sights and breezy seaside stops.
Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy — Embark (Tue, Aug 3, 2027)
Kick off in the Eternal City: think Colosseum snapshots, a stroll through the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, and a gelato before sail-away. Boarding is from Civitavecchia, with easy transfers into Rome if you’re arriving early to explore.
Naples (Capri), Italy — 7:00 AM–6:00 PM (Wed, Aug 4)
Hop a hydrofoil to Capri for cliffside views and boutique-lined lanes, or head inland to Pompeii for time-capsule history. Prefer the city? Stay in Naples for world-class pizza and the vibrant Spaccanapoli.
Florence/Pisa (La Spezia), Italy — Overnight (Fri–Sat, Aug 6–7)
Two days mean you can do Florence and Pisa without rushing: admire the Duomo, Uffizi, and Ponte Vecchio one day, then tilt your camera at the Leaning Tower the next. Closer to port, Cinque Terre’s pastel villages make a perfect seaside escape.
Portofino, Italy — 7:00 AM–6:00 PM (Sun, Aug 8)
Tender into the postcard harbor for a piazzetta espresso, then stroll up to Castello Brown or the lighthouse for bay views. Paraggi Beach offers a gentle swim and easy snorkeling in emerald water.
Nice (Villefranche), France — 7:00 AM–6:00 PM (Mon, Aug 9)
Step ashore in one of the Riviera’s prettiest bays and wander into Nice’s Old Town and the Promenade des Anglais. With time to spare, pop to Èze or Monaco for a quick hit of hilltop drama or casino glitz.
Palma de Mallorca, Spain — 8:00 AM–6:00 PM (Wed, Aug 11)
Marvel at La Seu Cathedral, then choose beach time at Illetas or a panoramic visit to Bellver Castle. Foodies can linger in Santa Catalina’s markets before a golden-hour stroll along the marina.
Barcelona, Spain — Arrival 5:00 AM (Thu, Aug 12)
Disembark in style with Gaudí’s Sagrada Família, the Gothic Quarter’s lanes, and a final round of tapas if you’re staying on. Easy transfers make for a smooth journey home—or a city break add-on.
