World War Battlefields, 11 Days, Jul 3, 2027, Other Dates Available

HISTORY. SACRIFICE. PRIDE. A JOURNEY THROUGH THE BATTLEFIELDS OF TWO WORLD WARS.

For those with a passion for military history, few journeys could be more meaningful than this incredible 11-day battlefield tour through Britain, Belgium and France with Trafalgar Tours.

This isn’t simply a sightseeing tour. It is an opportunity to walk through the places where history was made, stand where Canadian soldiers fought and sacrificed, and hear the stories behind some of the most important moments of the 20th century.

Beginning in London, you’ll visit the Imperial War Museum before travelling by Eurostar to Brussels and continuing through the battlefields of Belgium and France.

Along the way, you’ll experience:

Vimy Ridge — standing at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial and reflecting on the battle that became such an important part of Canada’s national story.

Ypres & Passchendaele — including Tyne Cot, Langemark, Vancouver Corner and the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917.

Essex Farm Cemetery — where Lt. Col. John McCrae wrote In Flanders Fields.

The Menin Gate — with the opportunity to witness the deeply moving Last Post Ceremony.

The Somme — including the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial and Thiepval Memorial.

Normandy & D-Day — Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery and, most importantly for Canadians, Juno Beach and the Canadian War Cemetery.

You’ll also experience a special Be My Guest lunch with a local family in Normandy and a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experience at the Ocean Villas WWI Museum.

And after following the battlefields and stories of two World Wars, the journey concludes in Paris.
