Military discounts to active and retired military members and their families are a way for cruise line companies to give thanks for their service. Here’s a list of military discounts offered by some of the most popular ocean and river cruise lines.

Ocean Cruises

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises offers a military discount to active and retired American and Canadian military members and reservist members of the military (including the National Guard) with proper ID cards. These discounts are for a wide range of cruises and conditions apply. If you are dreaming of a Bahamas Getaway Cruise or trip to the Bahamas and Mexico, it might be more affordable than you expect.

Royal Caribbean International (RCI)

You served us, now it’s time for us to serve you. That is the motto of RCI when it comes to giving discounts to military members. Up to 50% discount is given for certain cruises at times. Firefighters, police and seniors are also eligible for discounts. You deserve a Catalina and Ensenada cruise with exotic and sunny port stops or maybe some time soaking up the sun in the Cayman Islands.

Princess Cruises

The Military Cruise Benefit Program was designed to give thanks to those who served their country. Tempting offers to military members, current and retired, and their families mean you could be headed on an Alaska cruise taking in glaciers, national parks and stunning wildlife sightings or going somewhere warmer like Europe for the summer. As well as discounts, Princess Cruises offers onboard spending currency for military members so you can save your cash for onshore excursions.

To take advantage of the Military Cruise Benefit Program, you must have served in the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard or Reserves, or the Canadian National Defense Forces. Veterans, and active and retired members of these services may apply.

River Cruises

AMA Waterways

Showing gratitude for their service, AMA Waterways offers a special military discount for active and retired service members. The offer is $100 per person off any AMA Waterways river cruise. Is the Mekong River in Asia calling your name? Or perhaps an African adventure up the Chobe or Nile River would be a plan for next year.

Expedition Cruises

Atlas Ocean Voyages

Book an adventure with Atlas Ocean Voyages and you can receive 20% off any suite or stateroom cruise fare if you are a former, active, reserve, or retired US veteran. The offer is for select cruises with terms and conditions applying, including proof of ID. Iceland, Greenland, the Mediterranean and Antarctica are a few of the amazing places you could go with Atlas Ocean Voyages.

We hope you’ve found this article helpful and informative. We know that there are a lot of other cruise lines out there, so we only included some of them here. But if you have any questions about what we discussed in this post or anything else related to cruises, feel free to contact us.
